Although they always drew many fans to their games, the Jacksonville Tomcats were one of the mediocre franchises in AF2 history, with their first season being their only winning one at 9-7. They would lose to the Norfolk Nighthawks in their only playoff appearance in franchise history. In their following seasons, the Tomcats finished 8-8. After hiring three coaches in as many years and missing the playoffs by one game in their 2001 and 2002 seasons, the team folded and the final news article regarding the Tomcats can be found here.
