The Tulsa Oilers were a 2023 expansion team in the IFL. The team went 2-13, collecting victories at Iowa and at home in their final game against Quad City. Vince Espinoza and Andre Sale split time at the quarterback spot. Espinoza passed for 953 yards, 23 touchdowns and eight picks. Sale threw for 1,101 yards and also 23 scores. Josh Crockett hauled in 18 of those scores 47 catches and 502 yards. Alexis Rosario caught eleven scores on 54 catches and 570 yards. In 2024, the team made some improvement, going 6-10, but missed the playoffs again. After a 3-2 start to the season, but then dropped six in a row by a combined 46 points. This included a three point home loss to Jacksonville and a one point road loss at Massachusetts. Despite beating the same Massachusetts team in their final game, the Pirates would still make the playoffs. Andre Sale returned to lead the team, passing for 1,462 yards and 39 touchdowns to just six picks. He gave way to Daniel Smith. Smith threw for 1,060 yards and 17 touchdowns. Smith also led all rushers with eleven scores. Alexis Rosario also returned to the team and led all receivers with 22 touchdown catches and 857 yards. Noah Lyles racked up six sacks of opposing quarterbacks.
