The Jacksonville Sharks joined the IFL for the 2024 season after leaving the NAL. The team lost eight of its first nine games on their way to a 5-11 regular season, missing the playoffs. They did turn things around late, winning four of their final seven contests and nearly pulling off a fifth victory against playoff team Green Bay. Fred Payton Jr. spent the most time at the quarterback position, passing for 1,189 yards and 23 touchdowns to just eight picks. Kaleb Barker threw for 538 yards in four games and tossed 14 more scores. Kamrin Solomon and Jeremiah Payton each caught eight touchdowns. The Sharks beat Quad City, Sioux Falls and Iowa in the final four weeks and fell to Green Bay 45-42.
