The Fairbanks Grizzlies became the second ever Alaskan indoor football team in 2008. However, many of their players at the start of the season were fresh out of high school. The team lost its opener, 88-12. The team did defeat Odessa, Corpus Christi, and twice beat Alaska. The Grizzlies gave up 94 points at home to Louisiana, however. The team finished last in the league.
