The Chattahoochee Valley Vipers joined the AIFL in 2006 and got out to a 2-0 record, with a two point victory over Daytona Beach and a one point win against Rome. The year did not go well after that, with just five more wins in the last ten games. The team qualified for the playoffs as the fourth seed in the South Division. The Vipers were defeated by the Rome Renegades, 64-39.
