The New England Sea Wolves, formerly the New York CityHawks, lasted just two seasons before moving on to Canada. The team's performance was very poor and fans seemed uninterested for the most part. In 1999, the team began with some promise, at 5-2. However, the Wolves lost their last seven games, four of them blowouts. After an 8-6 record and a playoff loss to Oklahoma in 2000, the Sea Wolves moved to become the Toronto Phantoms.
